Great Residence (“the site,” greatresidencehotel.com) is a one-person publication. I collect as little as I can and I never sell it. This page explains what gets collected when you visit, why, and what you can do about it.

What I collect
Analytics. Like most sites, I use analytics to see which guides get read and where visitors come from, in aggregate. That includes your approximate location (country or city level), the pages you view, how long you stay, and the type of device and browser you use. None of it is used to identify you personally.
Cookies. Some cookies make the site work and measure traffic. You control these through the consent banner when you arrive, and you can change your choice at any time. Non-essential cookies (analytics and affiliate tracking) load only if you allow them.
Contact messages. If you send a message through the contact page, I collect what you type into it: your name, your email, and your message, so I can read it and reply. That’s the only reason it’s collected, and it isn’t used for marketing.
Affiliate links and third parties
Many of the recommendations here are affiliate links. When you click one and go on to book or buy, the partner (for example Agoda, Booking.com, or one of the kit providers) may set a cookie to credit the referral. That cookie is theirs, governed by their own privacy policy, not mine. It costs you nothing, and it’s how the site pays for itself. The affiliate disclosure page explains the arrangement in full.
The site also relies on a few third-party services to run: a web host, a caching and content-delivery layer, an image optimizer, and the analytics and consent tools above. Each processes limited data on my behalf under its own terms.
How long data is kept
Analytics data is retained in aggregate for as long as it’s useful and then rolls off. Contact messages are kept until the conversation is finished and then deleted. I don’t hold what I don’t need.
Your choices
You can decline non-essential cookies at any time through the consent banner. You can ask what data of yours I hold, ask for it to be deleted, or ask me to correct it, by writing through the contact page. If you’re in a region with formal data rights (the EU, the UK, California, and others), those rights apply here and I’ll honor them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version goes up here with a new review date. Material changes will be obvious.
